"I have a 1985 Viarago XV700cc. When I bought it it wasn’t running so I had
the carbs leaned and synchronized, and the rubber manifolds changed. Now it
runs on and off: It runs smoothly then suddenly it starts backfiring from
everywhere and lose power completely. It take me some time to start it
again then it runs OK, until it does it again."

Does it go batty at a specific condition, such as a given rpm or throttle
opening? Or is it totally random? First I'd suspect some crud loose in
the carbs, especially if it has sat for any length of time without running.
If not that, ignition - maybe a loose connection, maybe a bad TCI. Could
just be corroded connections at the TCI. OR - I just remembered this
happened to me - it could be the four pickup wires coming out of the top of
the LH case cover. Some of the insulation was damaged on mine. Does your
tack freak out when the problem happens?
