Just came in from a 20 mile ride. I know it don't sound like much, but the arm and shoulder aren't too sore and the throttle hand is workin' great! ;^)
I'd been out a couple of times on the SR250 and Momma's XV250 but I figured it was time to see how things worked with the bigger bike. Rode down to work and started doing figure 8's in the parking lot just holding the bars with the right hand, then using both. I can stretch as far as necessary to wheel the bike around just fine. Next was a ride down to the bottom of the Hart's Mill Grade, to the first bridge across the lake. Headed back uphill, pulled the feet back onto stock pegs, tucked down behind the windshield and let 'er rip. The bike'll still get up to 100 on the long straightaway. Now I just need a long, warm Fall season to try catchin' up on all the miles I've missed. ;^)
