BTW, there's a bunch of guys on the Venture site reporting problems with
Metz 880 tires. Seems they have a quality issue.

Well the back tire (Metzler) on our Venture peeled and the new tire did not
come in so our trip to the Rock Store was taken on the '98 Virago 1100. I
repaired the saddle bags and made a new backrest, shaved some foam off the
passenger seat and stiffend up the rear springs. Now I normaly ride the
Virago solo on local trips. Rose wanted to upgrade to a bigger bike and
that is how we got the Venture and she has not been on the Virago much
since. The ride to the Rock Store is about 200 mi one way. Boy does Rose
miss the Venture!!! Even with the changes to make her more comfey she is
really sore. The Venture has us sooo spoiled us I doubt she will go on any
more trips if the Venture is not going. While I still love my Virago it is
no good for trips 2 up and we miss the comfort of the Venture. Rod
