I usta live not to far from there either, 1974 - 1978. We
lived next to Folsom Lake in a small rural semi-remote
area called Granite Bay, six miles from the town of
Roseville (which was the nearest market except for a
small 7-11 at the intersection of Douglas Road and
Auburn-Folsom Road). Seem sometime after we sold
and left, that area became it's own city, and all the
swells moved there. Wish I'd kept the house. It'd
probably be worth $2-3M today.
Here's the best part. Having moved there in 1974
from the beach community area of Manhatten /
Redondo Beach in SoCal, I was unfamiliar with
mountain roads (plus I didn't think a motorcycle
was something you should ride any further than
you could walk back from). So, while living on
the doorstep of thousands of miles of what I now
consider premier riding, I didn't think there were
any good places to ride, so I didn't the whole time
I lived there.
Go figger.
Regards, Gary in Sandy Eggo
