My mistake, it was the exhaust valve and it wasn't severe. It may have been a very slight head gasket leak, as well. The valve clearance was set prior to the compression check. The all-thread in the rocker shafts won't do it. The inside of the rocker shafts are smooth, unless the threads are on the back side. I did manage to slide the cam out, but it will be tough to re-install with the rockers in place.

Tim,

Bummer about your engine. I had to go into mine the first time around that
same mileage for a broken cam chain tensioner/guide. I guess neither of us
was blessed with one of those "200,00 miles" engines. I have a couple
comments, though.

130 is not all that low - wouldn't a burned valve make it worse than that?
And a burned intake is very strange, especially if your exhuast was too
tight. Did you adjust the valves back to spec before checking the comp,
because tight valves reduce compression?

Yes, you have to use a slide hammer, but it goes in the threads (6mm I
think) in the rocker shaft that are there for that purpose alone. The
banjo threads go into the aluminum, right? Just get a really long 6mm
bolt, or some all-thread, and put a little weight in there to tap it out
with. The cam and front cam bearing come out by hand.

Good luck.

Jeremy
