I used a "MINERALLAC" pipe clamp when I used the
GPS on the virago. I put it right between the handle bar risers and mounted the
base for the GPS to it. On the Venture I used a mount made for a CCTV camera I
had laying around. Rod

Subject: [Virago] GPS handlebar
mount
Has anyone mounted a GPS on their handlebars?
I've seen two different styles of mounts and am wondering if vibration would
be a problem. The simplest mount I've seen is pretty much a ring with a slot
to slide the round attachment on the back of the GPS into. It's small also and
wouldn't sit up too high. (I don't have a windshield.)
The other style is a ring with a swiveling arm
that looks like it'd have less vibration, but I'm only guessing. I've used zip
ties the only time I've attached it with a layer of foam between the unit and
the bar. A mount would be easier tho.
Any suggestions?
