Trout- thanks. I got the "Greetings" letter at the tender age of 19 and didn't meet Jeanette 'til after I was out of the Army so at least she didn't have to worry about me gettin' drafted.  ;^)
For those if you who're too young to remember, guys used to be subject to conscription into the military.
Funny thing. The day I met her I only got her name and address, so I called the information operator (another thing from bygone days, you actually talked to a live person when you dialed 411) to get the phone number and gave her the name and address. The woman working asked my why I wanted it! Turns out that out of 20-some operators working that might, the one I got was Jeanette's aunt.
The therapist I saw today says as long as I don't keep doin' stupid stuff to re-injure the shoulder and arm, I'm coming along well enough that I can probably avoid surgery. Gotta keep goin' with the therapy, and I'm cleared to ride the little bikes as long as there's no pain (guess that means I'd better avoid dropping them) and hopefully in another couple of weeks I can be back on the XV1100! YEE-HAW!
Guess I'm not doin' too badly for a guy who's pushin' 60 and didn't think I'd heal anywhere near as quickly.
I probably won't ever get back to my 1000 miles-a-month but I may give it a real shot. Need to work really hard on havin' one of those 100,000 mile Viragos.

Rob, congrats to the pair of ya! But you're not that much older than some of us (unless you were like 50 when you got married). Wes and I hit 20 happy years back in February. (We've actually been married **25** years, but the first 5 were a bit rocky.... !!!)

And all right, you took the Virago out! I bet she appreciated it too!
