Just came back from a 3 1/2 mile ride on the XV1100. Shoulder's sore, but there's a 1/2 mile straightaway near home where I had it up to 6 grand in 3rd and it ran just fine.
Might be a while before I take it out again, but at least I know the carb's not gettin gunked up.

Well....not LONGER in my case, but it's safe to say I was still in Pampers
when you tied the knot!
