Trout- I'm not gonna let the big Virago sit long enough to go stale. Ain't rich enough to got through the carbs (actually, with the arm in the shape it is I couldn't even do all the reaching and twisting it'd take to mess with r&r the damn things) or paying the shop to do it.
And with my wife's arthritis, sometimes even riding her XV250 is a little too much for her. And as much as she like her XV250, sitting on the back of the 1100 is her next favorite way to get around. I'll bet she's put at least 20,000 in the back of my bike.
BTW, today's our 36th anniversary. Went to town and had a nice lunch with my beautiful bride and now gonna spend the rest of the evening relaxing.
Oh, yeah, and puppies are okay, but kitties are really good hot right from the wok.  ;^)

Rob, the situation calls for drastic measures. Viragos HATE to sit idle -- Jenny has taught me that much. As long as I ride her at least once every couple of weeks, she putters along happy as a pig in slop. Let her sit for a month and she is one pissy, moany, biddy. If you don't want all your newfound friends :-D to help you out, tell your wife to do the decent thing and take it out herself. Don't say she's too little. If she's 5 feet tall she can do it. I'm 5 feet tall and Jenny is an 1100. Don't tell me she's a weak and feeble woman. So am I. :-D The only convincing argument would be that she doesn't like your bike, and for someone not to like a Virago 1100 is like not liking puppies or kittens, that's just plain wrong.

Oh, and get better soon!
