Title: Re: [Virago] Re: Virago vs V-Star (was Virago vs Intruder 1400)
Stayed with the stock size, whatever it was. When Larry gave me back my parts I couldn't believe how long the front springs are! If I had tried to change them myself those puppies would have shot off and ended up the next block over from my driveway! We also discovered that there's no drain hole for the oil up front so they had to dismantle the forks completely. I had checked the archives and found where it's possible to drill holes but then you have to take the forks apart anyway to make sure you didn't leave any shavings in them. Oh, well. It's done and I can't wait to try it out! (But I'm NOT complaining about the drizzle and rain - we need it down here!)
Thought about getting shorter on the left side so she wouldn't lean so far right when I take my hands off the grips. I still wonder if it's because she went down on the right side and slid for quite a ways. I'll never know till I ride to the equator and try it there!

So, wa, did you go with the stock length springs in the front?
How about the shocks? Stock length, shorter, longer, or what? Short on the left and long on the right, or vice versa?
