Going up hill with large shield (Memphis Shade) on the tug and large flat
shield on the tub, going up interstate grades into head winds which come
sweeping across the plains, the 1100 may not be able to maintain 65 and mpg
drops, if trying to maintain 65, to 21 to 23 range. FWIW.

So, smaller carbs maybe a good thing for the extra torque I need for the
sidecar. What about at 65 mph into the wind going up a hill?

"I was just going to ask why they'd go with 37mm if it hurts, what's
the plus? better economy? "
Smaller carbs enhance the low-end because under identical load conditions,
the air velocity is higher which allows the carb to meter the fuel better.
