Hey all,
To bring you up to speed, I have a 98 XV1100, changed
pipes to Hard Krome slip ons last spring, was not
happy with the way it was running. Tried a K&N filter,
but that made it way too lean.
Bought a DynoJet kit and installed it as per their
instructions, but I was really unhappy with the way it
ran....it spluttered from the exhaust on decel and
spluttered from the cyclinders when you revved it
quickly.
I changed the needle and jets to what FLAASH suggested
and its defintely running better, but guess what...I'm
still not happy.
Now the problem is it does not have enough power in
high revs.
SO.....I was thinking of getting it Dyno'd come
spring. I am hoping that will tell me what needs to be
adjusted.
Will it?
I really don't want to go through another summer of
trial and error, pulling the carbs off every few weeks
to tweak something, I just want to get it running
smoothly and ride it.
