I feel the same (I did actually wear jeans last Sunday!). I've never
taken the bike to church though at least one guy does once in a
while, usually because I'm towing wife and kids along. I run the
video production stuff at our church so I get to go to a lot of
services, sometimes three in a Sunday, although on a warm summer
Sunday I have been known to employ this favorite montra:
"I'd rather be on my bike thinking about God, then sitting in church
thinking about my bike."

You should come to church with me. My riding clothes are my church

church. I do have a suit that I were on special occasions like
when I doing a wedding or funeral. I'm not a pastor but still
ordained minister. Jeans and a golf shirt on Sundays and jeans and
t shirt on Wednesdays. Instead of dropping your daughter off at
church go with her. "A family that prays together, stays together"
I quote Red Skelton. In fact as it gets colder I will be wearing
leather and don't forget my colors. There is a group of riders
that ride that attend my church, in fact we have a ride every fall
to the mountains and Deals Gap.

Subject: Re: [Virago] Factory pipes sound bad. HELP
I sometimes feel silly rolling up to church with the pipes and
leather, dropping off my daughter but, then again, I love it,
because I know I have a true love of riding and am much happier
riding in complete isolation on an open country road then riding
through town "impressing people". I know I'm not a "poser",
others might think so, and well, I guess the fact that they think
I am and I know I'm not, makes it even more fun.
PS
I told a story a while back about getting busted racing on the
highway by my pastor, well, it filtered back to my wife, ugh!
You always get caught in the end.
