"I have resently notice a couple of drops of oil coming from the tensioner
plug when I stop after a ride. Is this something that I need to be
concerned
about? It is not coming from the gasket, but from out of the adjustment
screw hole around the rubber plug. I have a '91 virago 750."

The black plugs do not seal at all. I think there must be an o-ring inside
the tensioner that is supposed to keep oil completely away from the plug.
However, mine leaks too - the rear cylinder, right? I took the little cap
off the tensioner, cleaned it all up, siliconed the plug and silicone
sealed the cap back on. No more leakage.
