Jo,

Here's a helpful website -- what to look for when buying any kind of used bike.

http://www.clarity.net/~adam/buying-bike.html

Some terrrific information there. I'm female too btw.

Still, if you know any guys who ride and know anything about bikes, it's helpful to have one of them along.

 Hi Guys,

l'm new to motor bike riding, just got my L's at the ripe old age
of 34yrs. l live in Australia and thought this site could help me
in purchasing a virago 250cc as my mates that ride said this is the
bike for me. l know nothing and being female how do l go about
buying a bike from a male orientated industry without being ripped
off? as l am single l have no male partner to come with me, what do
you guys suggest? What do l need to look for and what should l
steer clear of. l'm hoping to purchase one tomorrow interstate.
look forward to hearing all of your helpful information. Happy riding.
 Jo
