A lot of running gear if it's hooked to a wheel.
And it's doing nothing when you're not moving.

Why not just run a small alternator using a pulley attached to the crankshaft on the timing mark side. One would want a splash and belt guard for those wet days and a bit of foot safety. To some it would look out of place but an extra 20-40 amps will run a lot of goodies.
