yea they do kind of stand out. Did you ever use any "blue away"? I have a bottle of that stuff but its sucks. Might as well be comet in a can. It scratches up chrome real well and makes it fuzzy instead of shiny. Worst $6 I ever spent.

I wonder how hot they get? Have you done any test or tried to see how hot the shields get after a long ride? That is a part that looks neat chrome but a ceramic coating would work better.
