I recently cleaned and re-jetted my carbs using a jet kit from factory
pro.
I reset the float level to 21mm from the gasket surface to the top of
the float, one was considerably higher, by about 3 or 4 mm.
The kit comes with slightly larger pilot jets, and they are an
"emulsion" type, ie they have air holes in the side.
Now the pilot jet doesn't seem to do much unless I close it completely?
Plus the bottom 1/8 of the throttle is dead, so I increased the size of
the mains to compensate, and that fixes the 1/8 throttle problem but
overall it is running richer than I would like, and the pilot screws
still don't effect it much.
Any suggestions? At this point I may tear it down again and replace
their pilot jets with the factory ones.
