I've been "tuning up" this week, new plugs, a splash of SeaFoam in the
tank, a tank of 93 octane just for fun. Adjusted valves although I
don't think I changed much, they do sound a tad different, mostly
quieter but one seems a bit louder, haven't tried to figure which one
yet. "Synch'd carbs although I just checked 'em and never touched the
synch screw as they were fine.
Anyway, went for a bit of cruise today. Seemed to be running fine. On
the highway she felt particularly happy so I canned it and it shoot up
to 90 like nothing, then 100, then 110, 115 and I buried it. ?? I've
never gotten that much out if it. I guess I was doing 120. Yikes. I
better go back out and verify that......wow.
Jeff
