I'm not going to be much help with relating the factory procedure back to
the factory setup. It's been too long now since I've seen the original
plumbing. Besides, I pretty much always take the manuals as little more
than recommendation anyway. Then I look at it from a "What makes the most
sense" point of view and end up doing things my own way.
