Those numbers you're talking about, I think those are the gear location
numbers, at least that's what I always thought they were, but I didn't
know
they went up to seven.... that would be nice, as I know many times I have
searched for six, but have never found it ;-)
First gear is down then neutral is up in second position ( sort of half
notch up ) and the rest follow up
