Okay, let's put it this way. On the 250 that I have, as soon as the key is
switched to the on position, the headlight and other lights come on, and I'm
fairly sure that it's supposed to be the same way with the 650. Maybe I'm
wrong, but that's the way it was implied in the manual.
The running lights connected directly to the battery are indeed
functioning, but nothing does go through the normal electrical system. I
replaced the main fuse (the only fuse that I thought could have an impact,
but I'm not entirely sure how to determine whether a fuse is blown or not.
I mean, I've worked with smaller fuses before, but nothing that had a small
sheet of metal in it. As well, when I pulled the main fuse from the box, it
appeared to be slightly melted on one end, which I would assume is not
typical.
When I bought the bike, the guy told me that it should probably have new
spark plugs and a new right side exhaust pipe... and I can see how bad spark
plugs could be a problem, but with it not even trying to turn over.
Something's not right there. *sighs*
