Sounds like a blow-it-out problem rather than ring or valve
guide wear. First, where is your oil level at the start of your
riding, and where is it when you think you need to add a QT
of oil (at 1 qt low, you shouldn't see any oil in the sight glass).
Next, considering the Yamaha oil level sensor problem, you
should be seeing a constant engine oil light while you're
bike's running if you're a quart low. Are you? Finally,
look for a rubber hose hanging down from above and behind
your engine. That would be a crankcase blow-by hose. If
you're losing oil from here, it should be kinda oily at the end.
We'll be curious to find out what's going on here.
