Back in the days of Ozzie and Harriet, I had a Studebaker
Starlight Coupe that burned a quart of oil per 100 miles. If I let
it coast down a hill in gear and hit the accelerator at the bottom;
huge clouds of billowing smoke would pour out of the exhaust pipe.
You should also see that from your motorcycle under similar
conditions. If necessary, you could have someone follow you for a
visible check. Just tell them to wear a respirator (grins). A quart
of oil per 100 miles is equal to about a quart of oil per two gallons
of gasoline. At that rate if you were burning it , your plugs should
be fouling. In my opinion, it would be impossible to be using or
loosing that much oil without some visible indication.
