Everyone has a valid opinon or point of view. That is the great thing about
a free society. What many people fail to realize that the wind noise
created at highway speeds is so loud that it is unlikely that you would hear
anything else anyways. I find that I am extremely comfy in a full face.
Sure, it took some time getting used to it, and I don't always wear it (even
though I should). Everyone has their preferences. But I don't think that
anyone is ever going to prove that one is 'better' than the other. I can
show actual cases where a half helmet actually came off the rider after
impact (yes, they were wearing it properly). On the other hand, I can show
you where the rider is paralyzed due to the extra weight of the full helmet.
I don't think there is any right or wrong. Do what makes you feel the best
and so be it. In most cases, something is better than nothing at all.
Heck, when it comes to hearing I know a bunch of riders who wear earplugs
inside their full face.
