Subject : haulin ass oil use problem
My bike (1995 Virago 1100) uses oil heavily. Seems to ONLY happen when run freeway speeds (75mph or faster) for extended periods. Gets maybe 60 to 100 miles/qt. Around town there is no apparent oil useage at all. I have looked for leaks---dry as a pile of old bones. Nor do I see any apparent smoking. Of course, I don't try to look that hard at 85 mph . . . y'know?

This happened both before and after the top end was rebuilt--- Sucked a valve due to carbon build-up on stem at about 14,000 miles, has 18,000 now). I have ordered a harley style crankcase vent (the kind that keeps a slight vacume on the crankcase).

Does anyone have any suggestions . . . anyone?
