If you want to get maximum tire life, get the freshest possible tire, fill
it with dry nitrogen, and keep it filled with a dry inert gas for as long as
you own it. Tires tend to break down from impact, puncture, heat, oxidation,
and wear.

Subject: Mail order tires?
I need to replace the front tire on my wife's XV750. Both of my local
dealers want $25.00 more for the tire I want.
Word on the street used to be that mail-order houses sold tires that had
been sitting in warehouses for some time and were not as fresh, so would not
last as long.
Is there any truth to this anymore? Has anyone had recent experience one
way or the other?
