Thanks for the step by step. That is exactly what i needed. Unfortunately i
am not all that mechanically inclined but i try hard. Now i have more of a
problem. I have already drove the seal, spacer and washer into the lower
fork tube. Luckily i have been doing all this on just one fork so i could
figure it out. But how am i going to get the spacer(slider?) and washer out
of the lower fork tube. I know that no one else has probably done something
so stupid so i anyone has any suggestions on how to get it all out it would
be great. With my Maxim you installed everything first and then the upper
tube so that is how i thought that it had to be done. Thanks again Jeremy
for the instructions and thanks everyone for your help.

on."

Yeah, and the upper bushing, too. So, put the damper rod into the tube
(don't forget it's small sprinig). Then put the tube in the slider. Slide
the upper bushing down over the tube and into place in the slider. Go
ahead and install the damper rod bolt - the one you had trouble removing.
Then install the new seal over the tube and drive into place with the
appropriate size pipe. I like to use the old seal in between the pipe and
the new seal, to protect the new one. Install the dust boot, oil, spring,
cap, and you're done. Sounds easy, right? I've done this a few times, and
the job, both fork seals, start-to-finish, takes me 7-8 hours, so it is
time consuming.
