MM,

Been driving mine all Winter and no problem starting down to 10F. Course I'm
not like some underprivileged brethren and would never gloat over the fact
that they only have 2 wheels ;-).

Strong battery and (for me) full choke for 1 second, then down to 0 to 1/2
choke and a little throttle goosing for the first 10 seconds or so

Battery is important, specially in the cold country, as we have a very
primitive starter mechanism, which besides being noisy is prone to
malfunction after it has "ground" too long, too many times.

Ever ride the River Road?

Never met a person I couldn't learn from.
