     Exactly. The media (MXF or OMF files) are in 601 (SD) or 709 (HD) color 
space. That is how 
Avid makes them. Remember, it was designed to work with the video world. (We 
won't talk 
about other "pro" systems that work in RGB space here). If you export a QT 
reference movie, 
it is pointing to the MXF or OMF files. Doesn't matter what you told it to do 
in the export box 
as it isn't creating new media so those settings don't apply.
