            Can you tell what bin it's hanging on? Granted this was quite a
few years back but I had the same thing happen when I had a corruption in a
sequence. I don't remember if it was an effect or a clip that went bad, but
every time Avid auto saved it would hang. The tell tale sign on it was that
the sequence bin size had gone through the roof. 

 

            In my case I just did the divide and conquer routine on the
sequence by sub clipping out sections to a new bin till I narrowed it down.

I've tried all the normal settings trashings, etc.

Things will be fine and then the bin saves will either take a very 
long time or result in an out-of-memory message.

Tried clean reinstall of MC.

MC3/mac os 10.5.3 / macpro 2.8ghz 8-core / 6gb memory

Not sure why MC would freak out during a save -- any ideas?
