I hate them too. I wouldn't want to convey the idea that I think "Look Live"
is a good thing.

I grew up on the West Coast and now live in a state that doesn't do Daylight
Savings Time. This means "time-shifting" is a way of life. Also people out
of the Eastern timezone know much of what they see is slipped. There are
exceptions, like ER's live show that they reracked and did live again for the
West Coast. Also some news programs redu for the West.
But knowing Letterman is edited doesn't make any real difference, since it is
entertainment and not presented as a credible news source. After all if the
news can't at least be honest about being live or not, what ELSE are they
lying about?
