Per-stream licensing of servers, yes.

What's wrong with QT streaming?  Well, it's not as good as Real IMHO

I'd like to hear more on why - have you tried QT6's MPEG4 &AAC yet?

It's free AND an open standard.

but better still, use WMV (WMV streams doesn’t it?) and you can export .AVI from Avid and use the free WMV encoder...kicks ass too. IMHO .WMV is much better at low datarates than Sorenson QTs and at a fraction of the cost. Probably in some ways less foolproof cross platform but if you re windows only should
be no problem.
