Tricky Question.
My understanding is that the Symph wont bring in audio with pictures in a
24p (PAL) project.
If the film was synced at 25fps then the transfer from film was 25 thus it
is already 4.1% fast. If you slow it down then the sound needs to be pitch
adjusted. Having done this what do you want to do about the play out? If you
go back to PAL the the whole thing speeds up again. You could go to NTSC
with the 3:2 pull down at the new speed.
In sum, don't worry about 24p. Just do your conform at 25fps full res. At
least this way you can take their sequence and work from that.
