Have you upgraded these disks from Basic to Dynamic? This can be seen in
the Disk management window just below the Disk #. If it says basic, then
it should be upgraded to Dynamic. Right click on the panel with the
info..Disk#, Basic, size etc. and upgrade.

Subject: Symphony 3.5, W2K and Low level formatting
Has anyone out there running Sym 3.5 had any trouble with drives in the
array constantly changing from "Healthy" to "At Risk"? We were told
that
if, when the drives were initially configured, they were formatted using
"Quick Format" as opposed to a full-on low-level format that this can
cause
problems. We heard this yesterday and for the first time.
We have seen to documentation with regards to this, as was wondering if
others out there
a.) have their systems set up with "Quick Formatted" drives
b.) have had any trouble if the drives have been "Quick
Formatted"
c.) know where the above info is documented
We're running 3.5.3 on a Zpro.
Thanks in advance,
Gus
