Herein lies the AVID-L and AVID-L2 mailing list archive. It contains the posts of hundreds if not thousands of talented video editors, engineers, enthusiasts, and newbies alike. The conversations often focus on the use of Avid Technology's various non-linear video editing systems. However, quite frequently other systems are discussed, as are a whole range of related professional video editing equipment options, techniques, and resources. The archives are a veritable treasure trove of useful information, with some of the most talented editors on the planet sharing their knowledge.

Further Information
The archive has postings from September 1996 through the present. In 2006, several years after taking over the AVID-L, Avid Technology decided to shut it down. Thankfully, Jeff Sengpiehl started up a new version called AVID-L2, based at Yahoo Groups. This archive started archiving L2 postings in June 2006, and will continue to do so indefinitely.
Mailings to the list are sorted by month received. To view the index for a particular month, click on that month's date. You can also search the archives using the box on the left.
For (un)subscribe instructions, or other avid-l2 related information, please see the AVID-L2 Homepage at Yahoo Groups. Please note that I have nothing to do with the administration of the list, nor with Avid itself.
This page is brought to you by Ben Grosser, who started archiving the list in 1996 while using and teaching others to use an Avid Media Composer 1000.
